FAQ

How Outfloww works, and answers to common questions.

General

Outfloww is your personal chatter tool. It keeps your models, your daily sales, and your reusable scripts in one place so you can track earnings and work faster during a shift.

Use the sidebar to switch between Models, Sales and Scripts. The FAQ button is in the sidebar, in the footer at the bottom of every page, and in the header at the top of the screen on a phone. Your profile picture (bottom of the sidebar, or top right on a phone) opens the profile menu: light/dark mode, Reduce motion, Logout title, Export data, Import data and Sign out. The footer also links to About, Terms, Privacy and Contact.

On larger screens, click the slim line on the sidebar's edge to collapse or expand it, or drag it across the border: left to collapse, right to expand. Outfloww remembers your choice on this device.

Open your profile menu in the sidebar and click "Dark mode" / "Light mode" to flip it — on a phone, use the theme button at the top of the screen. Your choice is remembered the next time you open the app and follows you to your other devices when you are signed in.

Yes — drag a card to a new spot in its list. Models can also be reordered by dragging the model pills at the top of the Add a sale card on the Sales page, and both places stay in sync. On the Scripts page, category chips can be dragged to reorder, and pressing and holding a custom category chip lets you rename it. (Pressing and holding a model or script card starts select mode instead — see the delete-several-at-once questions below.)

Usually, yes. Deleting a model or a script asks you to confirm first, then shows an "Undo" button on the toast for a few seconds — click it to bring the item straight back (a restored model keeps its photo, color and daily target). Removing a script category and clearing your sales history work the same way. The exception is removing a single sale from Today's sales: that happens instantly, with no confirmation and no Undo.

Models

Go to Models and click "New Model". The form lets you upload a photo, enter the model's name, pick a color, set an optional daily target, and write info & notes (preferences, boundaries, rates, birthday — anything worth remembering). The name and notes are required; the photo, color and target are optional. Notes aren't shown on the card itself — click the open icon on the card whenever you want to read them. Click Save and the model shows up right away on the Sales page, ready for you to log sales.

Open the New Model or Edit Model form and click "Upload photo" (it becomes "Change photo" once one is set). Pick any JPG or PNG up to 15 MB — it's automatically cropped to a centered square and shrunk down, so square photos look best. Use "Remove" to go back to the default silhouette. Nothing is saved until you click Save, so closing the form discards a photo change. Photos appear on the model pills, in the Target Breakdown, and in the model's details window, and they sync and back up along with the rest of your data.

Click the pencil icon on the model's card to open the Edit Model form. You can change the photo, name, color, daily target and notes all in one place, then click Save.

Click the open icon on a model's card to read its full notes — if the model has a photo, it shows up in the window's header. The card itself only shows the photo, name, targets and progress, so the open icon is the way to get to the notes. The same info icon also appears on that model's row in the Target Breakdown on the Sales page, so you can jump straight to its notes without leaving your shift.

Open the model's Edit Model form (pencil icon) and type an amount into "Daily target". It's based on net earnings, so it's measured against your 80% cut, not gross. Leave it blank for no target, or enter anything above $0 — the form won't save a zero or negative target. Once a target is set, the model's bar in the Target Breakdown fills as sales come in, and its card on the Models tab starts showing progress toward a monthly target (the daily target × the days in the month).

Under a model's daily target, its card on the Models tab shows how far along you are this month. The monthly target is the daily target × the number of days in the current month (for example $350 × 31 days = $10,850), and progress is your net earnings for the month so far — the same net your daily targets use. The card shows the percentage and a progress bar, "$ earned of $ target" underneath, and today's net below that. It updates as you log sales, including today's, and the bar turns green at 100% while the percentage keeps counting past it. It starts again from 0% each new month, and clearing Sales History removes those days from the total. A model with no daily target shows just the month's net and "No target" — add a daily target in Edit Model to turn the monthly progress on.

On the Models tab each card shows the model's photo (or its color with a silhouette if there's no photo), the name, the daily target, and this month's target progress. The open icon on the photo shows the full notes and the pencil edits the model. Drag a card to reorder your models, or press and hold one to start select mode for deleting several at once.

In the New or Edit Model form, click the Color field and choose a swatch, use the custom picker for any shade you like, or pick "Auto" to let Outfloww choose one for you. The color tints the model's pill, its Target Breakdown row, its photo placeholder, the Add Sale button and the Today's sales card while that model is selected.

On the Sales page, tap a model's pill at the top of the Add a sale card. If you have a lot of models the row scrolls sideways. A badge with the model's name appears next to the "Sales" heading, the Add Sale button and the Today's sales card take on the model's color, and the Gross, Net and PPV totals switch to that model. Tap the selected pill again, or tap the badge, to clear the selection. The rows in the Target Breakdown are for tracking progress — selecting is done with the pills.

That's the Target Breakdown — every model's progress toward its own daily target at a glance, each with its photo, a progress bar, its percentage, and how much net it has earned against its target (models with no target show "No target" and just their net). Tap the info icon on a row to open that model's notes. The pills above are how you select a model, and dragging a pill reorders your models.

They're the "on fire" rewards for going past target, and they show up right on the model's name in the Target Breakdown. At 100% of its target a model shows "🎉 Hit", its bar is full, and its name turns gold with a shine that sweeps across the letters. Keep going and the name heats up, with its own colour and effect at each step: at 120% it turns orange with a flowing glow and sparks that twinkle around the letters; at 150% it burns red with an orange-yellow tip, flickering, with red embers rising off it; at 185% it becomes a teal flame with fast spark streaks zig-zagging upward; and at 230% it's a blue-purple inferno with a red base and red glow, with glowing orbs fanning out around it. The percentage keeps counting up even though the bar stops at full. When a model moves up to the next level, the old look blends smoothly into the new one (stepping through any levels in between) instead of switching instantly. These effects keep playing even when Reduce motion is on.

Drag the model's card onto "Drop to delete" at the bottom of the sidebar and confirm. An Undo button appears afterward if you change your mind. Sales already logged for that model keep its name in your history, so old records stay intact.

Press and hold a card to enter select mode, then tap any other cards you want to include (or tap "Select all" in the toolbar that appears). Drag a selected card onto the trash button that appears, or just tap it, to delete everything you've selected at once.

Sales

First select a model by tapping its pill at the top of the Add a sale card — the amount box and the Add Sale button stay locked ("Select a model first") until you do. Then type the amount and click "+ Add Sale" (or hit Enter). A single sale can be anywhere from $0.01 up to $200. You'll hear a little cha-ching, see a "Sale added!" toast, and the new sale slides into Today's sales. On any other page, the floating Quick sale button lets you log one without coming back here.

It's the round floating + button that appears on every page except Sales (the Sales page already has the full Add a sale card), and it's hidden while you're signed out. Tap it to open the Quick sale window — a small popover on desktop, a bottom sheet on phones — so you can log a sale without leaving the page you're on. Pick a model, type the amount, then click "+ Add Sale" (or hit Enter). It follows the same rules as the Sales page: $0.01 up to $200, the same cha-ching and toast, and the sale lands in Today's sales like any other. Model selection works exactly like the Sales page and is shared with it: tap a model to select it, tap it again to un-select it, and whatever is selected here is selected on the Sales page too (and the other way round). Nothing is pre-selected for you. With no models yet, it asks you to add one on the Models tab first.

Press and drag it anywhere on the screen — a tiny wobble while tapping still counts as a tap, and the window closes while you drag. Where you drop it is remembered: it stays there until you move it again, even after you close or reload the app. When you're signed in, the spot is saved to your account, so your other devices pick it up too. It's remembered by distance from the nearest edges, so a button parked in a corner stays in that corner on a bigger or smaller screen. On a very small screen it's nudged back into view, and returns to your exact spot when there's room again.

Select a model first — the amount box and the tag button next to it stay locked until you do. The tag button sits between the amount box and Add Sale, exactly like on the Sales page, and opens the same popover: choose Tips or Outside Shift, type the @username, then click Set (or press Enter). The button lights up while a tag is waiting, and the tag is attached to the next sale only, then it resets. The tag is shared with the Sales page. See the Tips and Outside Shift question for what the tags do.

Under the Add Sale button, Recent sales shows the latest four sales for the chosen model today (with a count like "6 today"); sales already settled in a saved shift aren't listed. The delete button on a row removes that sale instantly, with no confirmation and no Undo — exactly like deleting it from Today's sales. At the bottom, the footer shows that model's net for today, and if the model has a daily target, a progress bar toward it that fills as you add sales.

Those totals belong to one model at a time, so they show a dash until you select a model. Today's sales also stays empty ("Select a model to see today's sales") until you pick one. The Target Breakdown, on the other hand, always shows every model.

With that model selected, click the × on the sale's row in Today's sales. It's removed immediately and you'll just see a "sale removed" toast — there's no confirmation and no Undo — so check the amount before you click.

Gross is the full total of everything sold. Net is your 80% cut of that, worked out automatically — it's what your daily targets and progress bars are based on.

It's simply how many sales (pay-per-view unlocks) you've added for the day and model currently selected.

Click the small person icon next to the amount field and choose Tips or Outside Shift, then enter the buyer's username and click Set. The icon lights up to show the tag is ready, and it's attached to your next sale only — after that it clears itself. Tagged sales show a Tip or Outside badge in Today's sales and are broken out separately in Sales History and in the "Copy for logout" summary. The tag button is locked until a model is selected.

Click the history icon at the top right of the Overview card to open Sales History — every previous day is listed there, broken down by model. If you worked more than one shift in a day, each saved shift gets its own row with its own time and total instead of being lumped together.

It copies a ready-to-paste handoff summary of the day, including any Tips and Outside Shift sales you tagged. When your shift ends, use the Shift Report button on the Sales page: it copies the summary and, after you confirm, saves those sales to Sales History with the shift time and clears them from Today's sales. In Sales History, Copy for logout just copies the summary for whichever shift you have expanded.

Set your shift's start and end time, and whether it's a regular shift or a cover shift, from the "Shift Report" button, then copy today's logout text from the same window. Your shift only affects the wording in the logout text — it doesn't change any totals.

Nothing is lost. Once a day is no longer today, any sales that were never saved through Shift Report move into Sales History on their own, tagged with whatever shift time was set in Shift Report at that point.

The toggle above the Overview chart switches between seven bars for the last seven days (ending today) and seven bars for the last seven months (ending this month), so you can spot trends at either scale. The summary line above the bars shows the net for the current day or month and how it compares with the previous one (▲ or ▼ with a percentage), and the line below shows your average and best across the periods on screen. Like the totals, the Overview follows the model you have selected — with none selected it asks you to select a model.

Each bar is the selected model's net for that day or month, with the amount above it. If the model has a daily target, a percentage appears beside the amount (a ✓ once the target is hit), and the bar changes color when it hits. In the Daily view a dashed line marks the daily target; in the Monthly view each month is measured against the daily target × that month's days. Hover a bar for its date, net, number of sales and % of target, and click a day that has sales to jump straight to it in Sales History. Today only opens once some of it has been saved with Shift Report.

Open it with the history icon at the top right of the Overview card. Previous days are listed newest first and each one expands to show its sales; a day worked in more than one shift has a row for every saved shift. With a model selected, the list shows only that model's days with its name at the top; with none selected it shows every model together. Long histories load 30 entries at a time with a "Load more" row. The footer has Copy for logout (for the day or shift you have expanded) and Clear history.

Yes — open Sales History and click "Clear history". With a model selected it only clears that model's past sales; with none selected it clears everything. Either way, today's sales are always kept. You'll be asked to confirm first, and an Undo button appears right afterward in case you change your mind.

Scripts

Go to Scripts and click "New Script". Give it a title, choose or create a category for it, and paste in the text you want saved.

They filter your scripts by category — click one to show only that category's scripts. Drag chips to reorder them.

Click the "+ Add category" chip at the end of the chips, type a name (up to 30 characters, with the emoji button if you want one) and click Add category. To remove a category, drag its chip onto "Drop to delete" at the bottom of the sidebar and confirm. Scripts already using that category keep it, but it stops appearing as a filter, and an Undo button shows right afterward. Press and hold a chip to rename it.

Press and hold a category chip to rename it. Whether you're naming a new category or renaming one, the emoji button inside the field lets you drop in an emoji, and there's a live preview of the chip as you type.

Click the Copy bar at the bottom of its card to copy it straight into your chat — it flips to "Copied" to confirm. Open the card first (the open icon) if you want to read the full text before copying.

Click the magnifying glass next to the "Scripts" heading and start typing — the list filters as you type, matching both titles and script text. This searches within whichever category chip is currently selected.

Click the pencil icon on its card to edit it. To delete one, drag its card onto "Drop to delete" at the bottom of the sidebar, the same way you'd delete a model — you'll be asked to confirm, and you can undo it right afterward.

Press and hold a card to enter select mode, then tap any other cards you want to include (or tap "Select all" in the toolbar that appears). Drag a selected card onto the trash button that appears, or just tap it, to delete everything you've selected at once.

Settings & Sync

Open your profile menu and click "Export data" to download a file named chatter-tool-backup with today's date. It contains everything — models (including their photos, colors, daily targets and notes), sales, history, saved shifts, scripts, categories and your logout title — so you always have a copy of your own.

Open your profile menu and click "Import data", then choose a file you previously exported. If the file isn't a valid backup you'll get a message and nothing changes. Otherwise you're asked to confirm, because importing replaces your current sales, history, models and scripts with the backup's contents and can't be undone — export a fresh backup first if you're not sure.

Sign in with Google when prompted. Your data is then kept in sync automatically — sign in with the same account on another device and everything picks up right where you left off, model photos included.

After the splash screen, the sign-in page asks you to continue with Google — pick your Google account in the pop-up and you're in. You stay signed in on that device and browser until you sign out. Use the same Google account on every device to see the same data.

Every change is saved on your device first. If it can't reach the cloud (for example you're offline), Outfloww shows a single message saying the sync failed and that your changes are saved on this device. Keep an eye on that before you sign out: the sign-out confirmation warns you when the latest changes only exist on this device.

Only you. Your models, notes, sales and scripts are stored in one private record tied to your Google account, and aren't sold, shared for advertising or used for analytics. The Privacy link in the footer has the full details, including how to have your account and data deleted.

Open your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar (your photo or initials) and click "Sign out" — on a phone, it's in the settings menu at the top of the screen. You'll be asked to confirm first, because signing out clears the data stored on this device; sign in again and everything loads back from your account. If your latest changes haven't finished syncing (or you're offline), the confirmation warns you that they only exist on this device.

Open your profile menu and click "Logout title" to set the first line of your copied logout text — type your own wording and use the emoji button inside the field to add flair from the built-in picker. There's a live preview as you type, and clearing the field entirely brings back the original default.

Open your profile menu and switch on "Reduce motion" to turn off the app's animations, like the fade and slide effects when pages, cards, sales and rows appear or are removed. Handy if you find the motion distracting or want the app to feel snappier. Two things deliberately keep moving: the pop and wiggle on the model you've selected in the Target Breakdown (it's how you can tell which model you're logging for), and the glowing, flaming names of models past their target.

About

Where Outfloww came from, and what it does.

Outfloww started as something I built for my partner and me — a simple way to track sales, targets, and net earnings without wrestling with spreadsheets or tools built for someone else's workflow.

What it actually does

  • Models

Keep notes, preferences, and a color tag for each model in one place.

  • Sales & targets

Log sales as they happen, watch a daily target progress bar fill in real time, and see every model's progress at a glance in the Target Breakdown.

  • Tips & outside sales

Tag sales by buyer or type (Tip, Outside Shift) so they're broken out separately, not lumped into one number.

  • Shift Reports

End a shift, get a ready-to-paste handoff summary, and have everything filed into history automatically.

  • Sales History

Every past day and every shift within it, broken down by model, always there if you need to check back.

  • Scripts

A place to keep the lines and templates you actually reuse.

That's everything in it right now — nothing more, nothing less.

Who's behind it

Right now it's just the two of us using it. It's still early — built and maintained by one person (me) — but that also means it stays focused on actually being useful, not padded out with features nobody asked for.

Something off or missing?

I'd genuinely like to hear about it.
